Rick Warren, Pastor of Saddleback Community Church, and author of "Purpose Driven Life," has recently and openly supported the Catholic Pope and it's election process. Notice how Rick states that the Cardinals are "Seeking God's Will."  For a supposedly Protestant Pastor to support Cardinals who are more than likely praying to Mary, practicing penance, worshipping the Eucharist, etc., it is quite a sad way to deceive many people as to God's will.  Here are the Tweets he sent out in his twitter account:

Mark Driscoll teaches that Esther is a sinful woman who was chosen by the King of Persia because she "performed so well in bed."  The painfully obvious question is why so many thousands still go to his church and/or support him?  Isn't it obvious he is disqualified from the ministry only with this ONE quote?

NewEvangelicalism

Like cascading dominoes, the intentional departure from believing the Bible is inerrant has plunged the church of the 21st century down the treacherous slippery slope of accommodation and compromise.

Are there clear historical markers that identify this dreadful paradigm shift?

Why have so many evangelicals identified themselves as new evangelicals?

Who was the existentialist person absorbed in mysticism that humanistically masterminded the Purpose Driven Church and PEACE Plan?

What is the relationship between Fuller Seminary, the Purpose Driven Church, and the Emergent Church Movement?

How is the Emergent Church push for globalization harmonizing with the new world order in these prophetic last days?

Can the Calvary Chapel Movement, independent churches and denominations learn any lessons from others errors and mistakes?

Addressing these questions with riveting case studies coupled with staggering and sobering documentation, the author unfolds the shocking progression of ideas that were birthed in a nest of aberrant church beliefs.

Faith UndoneIs the emerging church movement just another passing fad, a more contemporary approach to church, or a bunch of disillusioned young people looking for answers? In fact, it is actually much broader and is influencing Christianity to a significant degree. Grounded in a centuries-old mystical approach, this movement is powerful, yet highly deceptive, and it draws its energy from practices and experiences that are foreign to traditional evangelical Christianity. The path that the emerging church is taking is leading right into the arms an interfaith perspective that has prophetically profound ramifications.

Deceived on Purpose

Christian author Warren Smith's book Deceived on Purpose warns about the serious New Age implications of Pastor Rick Warren's book The Purpose Driven Life. Smith takes the reader into the inner workings of today s evangelical world as he explores the questionable interconnections of several of its top leaders. As Rick Warren goes worldwide with his purpose-driven Global Peace Plan, Smith presents an in-depth examination of this mega-church pastor s spiritual agenda. He explains how Rick Warren s Peace Plan could eventually merge with the New Age Peace Plan that is being similarly presented by key New Age leaders. Smith contends that Crystal Cathedral Pastor and New Age sympathizer Robert Schuller has had a great influence on Rick Warren s teachings and that Schuller's influence can be found throughout Rick Warren's book The Purpose-Driven Life. Smith writes, The more I read Robert Schuller, the more I was shocked at how so many of Rick Warren s thoughts, ideas, references, words, terms, phrases, and quotes in The Purpose-Driven Life seemed to be inspired by Schuller's writings and teachings . Smith's distinctive background as a former New Age follower who has converted to biblical Christianity gives him a uniquely objective perspective as both an outsider and an insider. He draws deeply from his extensive knowledge of the New Age subculture that is now being subtly woven into the Christian church by Rick Warren and other Christian leaders. Smith believes that wittingly or unwittingly, Rick Warren is walking the church into a spiritual trap. This exceptional book is sure to appeal to a wide-ranging audience. Anyone who desires to know how the evangelical and New Age plans are moving toward oneness will find this book to be especially insightful. Smith s easy-going style makes this a fast-paced read.
